Some examples may include: science and engineering design challenges, problems students identify within their school and community, projects that address global issues.

Computer Science & RoboticsComputer Science & Robotics highlights projects that integrate computer science concepts with academic content. Some examples may include: storytelling and sequencing with the Bee-bot robots, solving problems with the Dash robots, interactive models with Scratch and Makey Makey, and truly going beyond the Hour of Code.

Student Passion & CreativityStudent Passion & Creativity highlights innovative student ideas and visual projects. These pieces help our students discover and share their unique passions and creativity. Some examples may include: exhibition projects, Genius Hour Projects (or similar), and original art creations.

Film Festival
The Film Festival celebrates multimedia storytelling created by our students, classes, and schools. This year’s focus will highlight our Profile of a Graduate competencies & Academic Content. |
Performing Arts
The Performing Arts celebrates forms of art that are performed live for an audience. Some examples include dance, music, drama, theatre, mime, spoken word, poetry slams, and cultural traditions. Performances should be part of a classroom, school, or CUSD-based program.
